Policies and Procedures

Be kind to yourself. Be kind to fellow students. Be kind to staff.

Equipment and Facility:

Viewing of adult/teen classes is based on instructor approval.

Parents and family members may view kids classes via live footage from our waiting room. This privilege may be revoked at any time for any reason that FCC staff deems necessary.

Anyone that is not a registered student or a staff member are not permitted in the class area during instructional time. Non-staff members attempting to spot students will result in a permeant ban.

Frankfort Circus Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

The facility and all the equipment therein must be treated with respect. This means following all posted signs, chalking over the bucket (not all over the floor), and no intentional rough play with props.

No chewing gum.

No street shoes or food on the mats.

Please clean up after yourself.

Do not touch equipment that is being adjusted by an instructor.

The Frankfort Circus Center is under constant surveillance for security and insurance purposes. Photos and videos of classes are taken for advertising purposes. If you are uncomfortable with your image being shared please inform your instructor and front desk staff.

We supply all materials needed for classes. It is encouraged for you to bring your own equipment for ground act classes, but not required. No outside aerial equipment is allowed.

Registration:

All registering must be done via our online portal.

Payment in full is due at the time of registration. We accept credit/debit cards or PayPal.

Class schedules and instructors are subject to change.

By registering for any class, you agree to sign our liability release before your first class.

While we will always do our best to accommodate all students, if you are signing up within less than 24 hours you acknowledge that the instructor did not have ample time to prepare for your presence so your class experience will reflect that lack of ability to plan.

Cancellation:

A refund will be issued if a student cancels seven days in advance. If a cancellation occurs on behalf of the Frankfort Circus Center, there is no time limit, a refund will be automatically issued.

In the event of inclement weather, we reserve the right to cancel a class. A makeup option will be given for the cancelled class. Please check our website and Facebook for updates on cancellations or schedule changes.

If the local schools close due to the weather, we close.

Safety Regulations:

All inversions require a mat.

If a staff member sees a student acting in any way deemed inappropriate or unsafe, the student will be asked to stop and will be reminded of the rules of safety and etiquette in the facility. If this occurs multiple times, the student will be asked to sit out of classes or leave the facility for a length of time determined by FCC staff.

No students are allowed on aerial apparatuses without explicit instructor permission; this includes open floor. If you are not approved for aerial open floor and you attempt to use an apparatus, you will be asked to leave the facility without a refund.

If a student is more than 10 minutes late to a 60-minute class or 15 minutes late to a 90-minute class the instructor reserves the right to ask the student to observe for that class and not participate. This is to ensure the safety of the student(s) and to ensure instruction is not disrupted.

We do not endorse, recommend, or give advice on any at-home rigging.

Attire:

No jewelry, buttons, zippers, buckles, or jeans are allowed during aerial classes as they may cause personal injury and/or damage to the apparatuses.

Generally, long athletic pants or leggings and a t-shirt are recommended for aerial classes.

Please bring a long sleeve shirt and socks to each class as these may help with learning certain tricks.

Group Class Policies:

All directions of instructors must be followed or you will be asked to leave the class without a refund.

If a group class only has one student in attendance, it becomes a private lesson and all hour and a half classes will become one hour/all hour-long classes will become forty-five minutes.

If you are sick, do not attend class.

Any open wounds must be covered.

If a student is impaired in any way by drugs or alcohol they will be asked to leave. No make-up lesson, class credit, or refund will be available.

Students may not teach other students.

No negative comments about yourself or others in the class are allowed. This is a safe space for all students to learn and express creativity.
